SKOAP
SKOAP has been around for one year, and this is how AND THIS IS HOW IT GOES:
Set the scene to potomac MD, one fine day in the spring of 2001, patrick koch was on the rise. after just breaking his leg earlier in the year, and running away from us in his wheelchair in the hallways, i guess you could say it was time for somethin new and exciting to happen. He was ready to start a band. So lets go to the westside, where our friend ben "chilled." He was just mackin one day, and all of a sudden thought to himself that he wanted to play drums. He was friends with pat at the time, but thought he was a TOTAL jackass. man, he had no respect for that kid whatsoever. SO when pat asked him to become part of his new band, ben obviously rejected right away knowing that he might be seduced by the crazy f+cker that pat is. But, he said what the hell, because he also was looking for somethin in his life cuz well, it was boring. So that one fine day in April, ben went over to pats house after lagging miles with the guitars, and luckily pat happend to have a drumset in his house. THey jammed out and extremely enjoyed it, writing 2 songs in just a matter of an hour, called "Home Sweet Home" and "Rip Off." Ben was beginning to realize patricks talent at guitar, and realized that well, sometimes you just hafta get to know people better because you never know what will evolve! And He never expected pat to play guitar that well, and hoped that his drums could match it and something could work. Aw, doesnt that make you wanna cry!! anways... With the roaring guitar and shitty begginner drum playing, pat and ben were on their way to a new and great band, called at first, SABALLOS, but then changed to...SHATTERED. So, with thier friend Sam Kazor, who also went to Cabin JOhn middle school at the time and played guitar, started a band, and practiced in bens basement every week or so. and so over the summer they evolved as a band, but also realized they needed a bassist. So, after a few problems with concerts and changes in the band, things started to clear up as it was Steven Nee (the bassist), ben hoffman, and pat koch in the band. Sam is still truly one of our best friends, especially bens, and that will not ever change. We hope Sam still plays guitar up to this day, cuz he loves music and hopefully can apply it to guitar.Best of luck to him. some things had to change in the band, and we needed total commitment, and belive me, it was hard. So, now on to Steven Nee, the spankin new bassist.Steven had been a close friend with Pat for a while, and pat remembered that well, he could play bass quite well, only if he remembered. because he hadnt played in a while. So, he refreshed his memory, then shatered was on their way to something. But, they got tired of shattered, and wanted something new. SO, with that, they changed their name to skoap, standing for stupid kids on air play. (but this will soon change we think). They worked over the summer and developed many good songs, which they eventually recorded in late november on a cd. So that is the basic history of skoap and the beginnings. These guys are a great group of people, everyone mentioned in here is. So dont be afraid to send us nude pictures of girls. We are all gentlemen here, we will accept it with gratitude, and give you a salute! Or maybe something more than a salute! (just kiddin.)

The History Of The Band Members
Ben Hoffman was born in August of 1987. He travelled all around the world, such as russia, england, and israel. He then in seventh grade came to the same school as Patrick and Stephen. hE wasnt much into music, more like baseball and basketball. Then in the eight grade, he decided to take drum lessons out of nowhere because hes always loved beats and such. He agreed to be in a punk band with Patrick in April of 2001 after much debate. Ben has been playing drums for a year.

Patrick Koch was born in June of 1986. He has lived in the same house all of his life. When he was 8 1/2, he decided to start playing guitar. He had already been playing piano. He never ever took Guitar lessons. He is self taught and has been playing for 6 1/2 years. He's been in some other bands too. He was in a Metal band, a Powerslob band, and an Alternative band. He went through all of those. Then in March of 2001, he asked his friend Ben Hoffman if he would be in a band with him because he was looking to start a new band. A punk rock band. He said no at first. Then a month later he said to him "You still wanna be in a band? I'm ready."

Stephen Nee was born in January of 1987. He has lived in the Gaithersburg area all his life. His dad had a bunch of guitars. His dad was an amazing guitarist. He had some of the nicest guitars you could ever set your eyes on. Including a custom guitar. His dad would show him how to play some times. Then later on, with over 7 guitars in his basement, and 1 bass in his basement, he ended up playing the bass instead.

Equipment
Ben has Ziljidin hi-hats, Sabian AAX crash, PAISTE ride, Iron Cobra double bass pedal, Pearl sensitone snare drum, Pearl hardware,Remo drum heads, Vater drum sticks (Just a pair out of 29 others), and WJM Bass and Toms which are blue and covered with pointless stickers which he hopes will get him the ladies.
